GO LIVE DARE – Don Olding

God is always teaching! I am learning. I am on a journey and God is leading and teaching as well as equipping me to build something new. We are living in exciting times. As I reflect on what God has been saying and doing, I am humbled that God chooses us to fulfill His mission on this planet. Thank you for being part of His-story. As you can see from the title the movement is called GO LIVE DARE. This is the movement that God has birthed in me. Here is some brief info, I will be updating you next month when I get back from US.

A movement of God among teenagers to intentionally live out the priorities of Jesus. GO LIVE DARE!

To equip teens to relationally live out their faith and fulfill Christ’s commission to go into all the world and multiply themselves in others as Jesus did. info on the name GO-LIVE-DARE

GO – Matthew 28:19-20

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

We are passionate about sharing the Gospel and equipping and mobilizing teens to become disciple makers who relentlessly live out their faith in everyday life. Jesus modeled to his disciples how to live out His Fathers priorities among us. Jesus is our model for life and ministry and we are committed to fulfilling the call of sharing the gospel and making disciples like Jesus did!

LIVE 1 John 2:6

Whoever claims to live in Him must live as Jesus did.

Our lives are defined by our priorities, and we seek to live out the priorities of Jesus in everyday life. Jesus ‘priorities become our priorities. Every ounce of our being is rooted in the DNA of what Jesus came to achieve.

DARE Philippians 1:14

And because of my chains, most of the brothers and sisters have become confident in the Lord and dare all the more to proclaim the gospel without fear.

We are to proclaim the gospel fearlessly, and share the love and grace that the gospel offers. We seek to live out a faith that is relational and has an aspect of bearing much fruit. We have a responsibility to bear fruit that will last, John 15:16 (NIV)  You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.

J-Life Africa has released me with blessing and as I transition out and begin the journey of leading a movement God has called me to, God has led another passionate and an awesome man of God to take over the reign at J-life South Africa.

J-Life SA

Left to right : Margaret (Jeremy Mom), Sarah-Michelle (daughter) Karl (Son), Phoebe (daughter), Jeremy , Tania (Jeremy wife) He resides in the Western Cape.

The J-life Africa lead team has approached Jeremy to lead J-life SA . Jeremy has a passion for the local church and health of the local church and he is passionate about disciple-making. Jeremy has been affiliated with J-life for a long while and is involved in various spheres of ministry. Please pray for Jeremy as he now takes the reigns and as I hand over to Jeremy that he can hit the ground running. He is a very good friend and brother in Christ and has all the gifting that is suited to the task ahead. If you would like to receive his updates please email him at (jeremy.jlife@gmail.com) I am sure he would love to keep you updated.

I am so grateful to the Lord that God has raised up a man like Jeremy and continue the awesome work that J-life does. John Abrahamse the international director is continuing to journey with me as I lead the new movement of Go-Live-Dare and some other key leaders here in South Africa as well as some leaders in the US. I am grateful to J-life Africa for all the coaching, equipping and all that they have done for me, and now as I transition out and begin to lead GO-LIVE-DARE I pray that God would grow the movement (J-life) to the next level  and many would be discipled for the kingdom’s cause.

Our journey going forward in the next few months

I am building a new board who have a common goal for reaching the lost and making disciples. They will also help develop the business side of the ministry (this will help with transparency and integrity). I am grateful that God has led me to these men, they serve on various other boards and have countless experience with regards to this side of the ministry.  I am grateful to all of you who are a part of this journey with us. I am thankful to the J-life South Africa board and the role you played in our lives over the past 4 years. You have really done an outstanding job and love you guys always for that.

I am still working alongside J-life in these few months, and still have a team from Texas coming to do ministry on the South coast and help Chantel run a VBS (holiday club at the church she is serving in Norwegian settlers church). I am still continuing with disciplemaking here in KZN and keep on building what God has already started.

In the next few weeks I will be visiting the USA:

  • June 15-22 North Carolina
  • June 22-27 Chicago (Lead the cause conference with Dare2share)
  • 27 June -01 July Texas
  • 01 July 05 July Oklahoma (hope to see friends and partners)
  • Please be in prayer as I work through so much that God is doing here in South Africa. I am called to the youth of this nation and give them the tools for reaching out to their friends with the absolute awesome message of hope that Christ brings.
News from Chanty
Children’s ministry is always a place I go to refresh my spirit.  The children have a way of reminding me of what it means to have real faith and on a weekly basis I am learning more and more from the children I come into contact with.Church ministry is running smoothly and I have found that there is not enought time in the day to get through everything that I get excited about.  I have the privilege of going into 4 of our local schools on a weekly basis to do a devotion during their assemblies and have been able to establish many meaningful relationships with the children.  A ministry for our tweens (Grade 6 & 7) has started up this term and is keeping our Friday’s busy but a lot of fun.

I am looking forward to the up and coming holidays as we will be running a holiday club (VBS)from the church with a team of missionary teens from all over the world.

Thank you for your prayers for me personally and especially for my beautiful family.
